In the world of pro hockey, longevity and dedication often go unnoticed for those behind the scenes. Yet, for Chris Kingsley, the Los Angeles Kings' Head Athletic Trainer, a significant milestone highlights his profound impact on the team and its players.

Celebrating his 2,000th professional game, Kingsley's journey from the AHL's Manchester Monarchs to clinching two Stanley Cup victories with the Kings is a testament to his commitment and expertise.

Players and coaches alike sing praises for Kingsley, emphasizing not just his skill as an Athletic Trainer but also his role as a foundational pillar of the team.

Jim Hiller acknowledged Kingsley's calming and trustworthy presence:

"He just kind of seems like the godfather of the staff."

For Anze Kopitar and Drew Doughty, Kingsley has been a constant throughout their careers, a testament to his longevity and dedication to the team. Doughty said it best:

"He’s been here for 18, 19 years and you know why he’s been here that long, because of how good of a trainer he is, how good he is with the guys. Not only does Kinger help us with injuries and stuff like that, but he cares about your home life, he cares about your family."

Mikey Anderson and Phillip Danault lauded Kingsley for his hard work and heartfelt commitment to the players, highlighting how he keeps the atmosphere light and always puts the team first. Danault stated:

"He’s one of those guys that leaves his heart on the line for the boys, all the time, for 2,000 games now."

Pierre-Luc Dubois and Adrian Kempe also shared their admiration for Kingsley, stressing the impressive nature of his 2,000-game tenure and his ever-present support, both on and off the ice.

"2,000 games in any sport, in any capacity, is impressive but to do it with the roadtrips, the long nights, is crazy. It’s something to really be proud of."

Matt Roy summed it up by calling Kingsley a veteran who's always there for the team and their families, showcasing the deep bond Kingsley shares with the players.

"He helps us out a lot, here at the rink and at home, whenever you need him, and whenever our families need something."

As the Kings honor Kingsley in his milestone game, his journey is a shining example of the difference dedication and passion can make, not only in the lives of the athletes he serves but also in the heart of the sport itself.

Here's to Chris Kingsley, a true embodiment of commitment, expertise, and the profound impact of athletic trainers in the world of sports.

His milestone is a celebration not just of his personal achievements but of the essential role Athletic Trainers play in the success and well-being of their teams!
