Honoring a Career of Impact: Siobhan Fagan’s Journey in Athletic Training

For Athletic Trainer Siobhan Fagan, a career built on helping others has come full circle—earning recognition at the highest levels of the profession.
In 2024, Fagan was inducted into the Ohio Athletic Trainers’ Association Hall of Fame, a testament to her years of leadership, service, and impact.
She was also recently honored with the College of Health, Education and Human Services Outstanding Alumna Award, recognizing her continued contributions to both her profession and community.
“Receiving this award… is truly an honor,” Fagan said. “To be recognized… is just truly, truly humbling to me.”
Her journey into athletic training began after her own playing career was cut short by injury. What could have been the end of her time in sports instead became the foundation for her future.
“I saw this profession as a meld of being able to stay in sports while also helping people,” she said.
Today, Fagan works at Kettering Health as an athletic trainer and professional development team lead, primarily supporting high school athletes through injury and recovery.
Her influence extends far beyond her day-to-day work. Fagan has served in multiple leadership roles within the Ohio Athletic Trainers’ Association and continues to help shape the profession through her involvement at the state level.
Through every role and recognition, her mission has remained the same—helping athletes return to what they love, stronger than before. Check out the full story here!
