Siena University Athletics has expanded its sports medicine department with the addition of assistant Athletic Trainers Brianna Dorr and Molly Bevan, reinforcing the university's commitment to student-athlete health and safety.

Head Athletic Trainer Rebecca Sanger said both new hires will help build upon the foundation already established within Siena Athletics.

"I am excited to welcome both Molly and Brianna to the Sports Medicine staff," Sanger said. "The health and safety of our student-athletes is our number one priority, and I believe Molly and Brianna will add to our current staff to maintain that standard."

Dorr joins Siena after earning both her bachelor's and Master of Athletic Training degrees from Southern Connecticut State University, graduating with a perfect 4.0 GPA. Her clinical experience includes working with Fairfield University's women's basketball team during its NCAA Tournament run, along with experience at Post University, Albertus Magnus College, and East Haven High School. A Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), she also competed in Division II gymnastics and coached youth athletes.

"Siena University stands out to me because of its collaborative commitment to investing in the academic, athletic, and personal success of its student-athletes," Dorr said.

Bevan arrives from Marquette University, where she completed her Master of Athletic Training while gaining Division I experience with the men's basketball, men's golf, men's lacrosse, and women's soccer programs. Her background also includes orthopedic clinical experience and leadership as president of Marquette's Women's Club Lacrosse program.

"Siena stood out to me because of its commitment to caring for the whole student-athlete," Bevan said. "I am excited for the opportunity to make a positive impact."

With the additions of Dorr and Bevan, Siena continues investing in a sports medicine team dedicated to comprehensive care, injury prevention, rehabilitation, and supporting student-athletes both on and off the field. Check out the full story here!
