His previous experiences, including his long-standing role at Brigham Young University (BYU) and his tenure with The University of Arizona and St. Vincents Sports Performance/USATF, have prepared him for this position.
At BYU, Williams has closely worked with athletes such as Conner Mantz and Clayton Young, both of whom have secured spots on Team USA's Olympic Marathon team. Additionally, he has assisted Rory Linkletter, a BYU alum who will compete for Team Canada in the marathon. Williams' personal connection to these athletes underscores his commitment to their success and highlights the impact of his work beyond national boundaries.
Beyond his Olympic duties, Williams plays a crucial role as the Medical Service Chair for the USA Track and Field (USATF) since 2013, coordinating training needs for all of USATF's international teams. His extensive volunteer work with USATF over two decades showcases his passion and commitment to the sport and its athletes.
As the USATF Olympic Trials approach in Eugene, Oregon, Williams' expertise will be crucial in preparing Team USA's athletes for their Olympic journey.
