In fact, Liberty Mutual has a Workplace Safety Index for 2020 stating that businesses are paying about $1 billion dollars a week.

The number one cause of workplace injuries is the "Overexertion of outside sources", which includes injuries related to lifting, pushing, pulling, holding, carrying, or throwing objects. They lead to musculoskeletal disorders, or MSDs, that result in a lot of lost work time for employees.
Those injuries make up almost 24% of all serious workplace incidents and cost employers nearly $14 billion in total in claims and recordables.
