Former Pro Baseball Athletic Trainer Brings Expertise to Wisconsin High Schools
Chad Spaulding, a certified athletic trainer (ATC) with a championship pedigree, is now supporting student-athletes at Northland Pines and Three Lakes High Schools as a member of the Aspirus Northland Orthopedics team.
Spaulding, who helped the Kansas City Royals organization secure five minor league championships in the 1990s, is bringing his wealth of professional sports experience to the high school level.
Throughout the school year, Spaulding provides comprehensive athletic training coverage, from the first kickoff of football season to the final out of baseball.
His work during the fall sports season included volleyball, cross country, soccer, and football, and he will continue to offer his expertise for winter sports like hockey, basketball, and wrestling.
“Having spent several years working with professional athletes, I’m looking forward to applying that experience at the high school level. Helping these athletes not only perform at their best but stay healthy and safe throughout the season is my priority.”
Spaulding’s extensive experience includes working with MLB stars such as George Brett, Johnny Damon, and Carlos Beltran. After earning his degree from Carthage College in Kenosha, Wis., he spent 16 years as an athletic trainer in Wautoma and Rockford, Ill.
Now, he’s excited to return to northern Wisconsin, an area he knows well from off-season visits to his family cabin.
“I always wanted to get back to northern Wisconsin. I’m thrilled to join the experienced Aspirus Northland Orthopedics team and contribute to the health and safety of student-athletes.”
Kendra Glebke, Manager at Aspirus Northland Orthopedics, praised Spaulding’s impact:
