From the Minors to the Majors, AT Ben Myers Earns Promotion with Twins

After eight seasons working his way through the Minnesota Twins organization, Athletic Trainer Ben Myers is headed to the major leagues.
The Twins announced on October 14 that Myers has been promoted to Assistant Athletic Trainer for the 2027 season, moving up from the team's Triple-A affiliate, the St. Paul Saints.
For Myers, the promotion marks another milestone in a career that has taken him through multiple levels of professional baseball.
A Career Built Across the Minor Leagues
Myers joined the Twins organization in 2018, beginning with the Cedar Rapids Kernels before moving to Fort Myers in 2019.
His responsibilities took an unexpected turn during the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2020, Myers worked at Target Field helping manage COVID-related cases, an experience that led to his appointment as an Infection Control Prevention Coordinator in 2021.
He later served as a roving Athletic Trainer, working with multiple Twins affiliates before joining the St. Paul Saints, where he spent five seasons.
Myers earned his Athletic Training degree from Eastern Kentucky University in 2013 and later completed his master's degree at the University of South Carolina. Before joining Minnesota, he gained experience working with collegiate athletes, a high school program, and minor-league affiliates of the Houston Astros.
The Next Step in His Career
With his promotion, Myers joins the Twins' major-league medical staff under Head Athletic Trainer Nick Paparesta.
His journey is a reminder that Athletic Training careers can take many different paths, and that years of experience behind the scenes can lead to opportunities at the highest levels of professional sports.
Congratulations to Ben Myers on his promotion and the next chapter of his Athletic Training career!
