Jeff Paxson Clinches International League's Top Athletic Trainer Honor

Athletic-Training-News-Banner-SMJeff Paxson, the Athletic Trainer for the Nashville Sounds, has been awarded the International League’s Athletic Trainer of the Year by the Professional Baseball Athletic Trainers Society (PBATS).

 Jeff Paxson Named International League Athletic Trainer of the YearThis is the eighth league accolade for Paxson and his first in the International League.

He has previously received honors in the Midwest League, the California League, and the Pacific Coast League.

In 2011, PBATS named him the National Trainer of the Year, and he was the recipient of the Ralph Salvon Scholarship in 2016.

Paxson, now in his 29th season with the Milwaukee Brewers organization, has an extensive career, serving various teams, participating in multiple All-Star Games, and working as an athletic trainer for the 2012 MLB All-Star Futures Game.

He is a Fort Wayne, Indiana resident, graduated from Northeast Missouri University, and holds numerous certifications in athletic training, including Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC), Cert St & Cond Specialist (CSCS), and FMS Certified (FMSC).

The Nashville Sounds, a Triple-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers, will soon play their final homestand of the season.
