Over the years, Farnam has been a cornerstone of the Timberwolves’ health and performance programs, impacting thousands of players, coaches, and staff.

Farnam’s expertise extends beyond the Timberwolves. Since 2001, he has served as an Athletic Trainer for USA Basketball, contributing to multiple gold-medal-winning teams, including the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics and the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup. His work with the U.S. Select Team and Basketball Without Borders underscores his global impact on sports medicine and athlete care.
Beyond basketball, Farnam is a past chairman of the National Basketball Athletic Trainers Association and has held leadership roles in various professional organizations. He is certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association, the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
A native of Pine River, Minn., Farnam credits his passion for Athletic Training to his education at St. Cloud State University and his master’s degree from California University of Pennsylvania.
Farnam and his wife Tiffany are proud parents to six children and grandparents, grounding a remarkable career in family and community.
